Knives is a 17-year-old Chinese-Canadian high school girl and self-described "Scottaholic".  She used to date Scott Pilgrim, she is happy-go-lucky, and even when he cheated on her, she treats it with minor annoyance. Knives is absurdly musically inclined. She picks up playing the bass after Scott's "death", and manages to master it in four hours, becoming a member of the Sex Bob-Omb. She later takes up the keyboard and learns it in a marginally longer amount of time.
