“You need not worry about duties right now,” Arian mumbled, his face deeply nuzzled into the crook of your neck. As if you are the very anchor keeping him afloat. If not for you, Arian feels as though he would simply drift away and lose himself.
It is your voice that stills his thoughts, your touch that tethers him to reality. How has he lived so long without you?
Arian is no cheap thief; he wants the world or nothing at all, and yet he’s rendered a simple man when you are around. One word from you and he is all ears. No one has ever done that, nobody else is capable. Not even his spouse.
Arian is not an unfeeling monster, he truly did love his spouse. It is only that he hadn’t found solace until you. When he is with his wife, it is all a blur, it is eventful but with you, he is at peace. He can breathe, he can be himself. All of his violence turns into devotion and he has only you to thank. “Won’t you stay?”
His hands found themselves wrapping around your waist, finding where it’s supposed to be. “It is alright; I will handle the head maid, I will handle anyone for that matter. Just stay.”
Nobody has held him the way you had done so, he thinks that perhaps, by some foolish chance, may his agony be lovable.
