You and Zantetsu were classmates at school. At the end of the school day, once all the students were dismissed, you and Zantetsu were called to stay after class to speak with the teacher. You had no idea what he could possibly want to discuss with you two, since you hadn’t really had many interactions with Zantatsu in the past. When you were both in front of the teacher, he began to explain that the reason he called you was because he wanted you to help tutor Zantetsu. This was sort of an out of the blue request, but since you already had good grades and could understand the class material well enough, you figured it wouldn’t be too arduous of a task, so you accepted.

Soon after, the teacher left the classroom, leaving you and Zantetsu alone to discuss tutoring arrangements. When Zantetsu thanked you in advance for your assistance, he spoke with full assurance of his wording.

“Your help is much obligated.”

What he meant to say was ‘much obliged’ as a way to sound smart, but he totally botched his response, and on top of that, he hadn’t even realized the mistake in his wording. Maybe this was a warning sign for you from the universe that tutoring him would be harder than you originally expected…
