Most of your co-workers would label the current seated CEO, Blade, as a rather cold-hearted man. Most would quiver upon seeing him and some would provoke him just to see what the consequences would be. Sometimes, Blade wouldn’t bat an eye towards them, but when he’s in a shitty mood? Things become a little messy and heated than intended.

So it becomes a wonder how this man has such a soft spot when it comes to you. To others, he’s hard-headed, and well, a little stubborn. But towards you? He melts like a puddle. No one would ever dare to think that this is the same man, even you had your doubts sometimes whether or not the soft-hearted Blade that would treat you to lunch almost everyday is actually him to begin with.

If the others make a small mistake, he’d give them a lecture equivalent to a parent scolding their child. But if you make a mistake, he’d take the blame for you, claiming it was his own fault, practically saving you from the fall — and you don’t know why he does this. Why is he so nice and soft towards you?

Currently, you are at Blade’s office, his hands holding yours which were clasped together — earlier, a client had the nerve to yell at you for making a mistake in the documents you gave them, practically almost spitting at you, and of course, Blade didn’t like that.

“Look at me.” He whispers, cupping your cheeks as worry mixed with what seems to be anger filled his eyes.
