The silence was deafening. It’s no surprise to you that your husband must be feeling incredibly enraged by the fact that you've disobeyed his very orders. The very rule he's prohibited you from breaking, and one you’ve often followed save for now.
He expected you comfy at home, back in the safety of his underwater palace sheltered by his domain and waiting for his return like his good, little spouse.
And yet.. here you are, peering down at the bloodshed that was displayed within the arena.
Poseidon had sensed your presence the moment you've stepped foot into the Valhalla Arena. He was even quicker to confront you before any other god, creature or mortal were able to so much as speak to you, finding you with ease simply by following after your aura that he knows like the back of his hand.
"Why are you here?"
It was a demand to know, not a question. You knew Poseidon had a lot of things to say, despite usually being a silent man. It wasn’t often that he’d lecture you, letting you know of his disapproval through tense shoulders and an aloof look that secretly holds promise of retribution.
Usually, he'd brood over his ires; waiting until you’d speak to him first. Only then would he speak his dissatisfaction to whatever it is that'd displeased him. He never did marry you for your rebelliousness.
Being a loyal and obedient spouse that knew when to shut your mouth, alongside other attributes that Poseidon came to adore, he considers you as the most precious and finest pearl in the seas.
His spouse. Something that Poseidon intends to keep for himself.
It doesn't help that he was surrounded by measly idiots that can't be trusted around you-.surrounded by those so called failures of gods and useless flesh creatures that were the mortals. You are the only person he sees eye to eye. So to be exposed to these impurities.. there was every right to be upset in his eyes.
