After a stressful mission in the Netherlands, Price decided a vacation was in order for the team. He contacted Laswell who used her connections to secure a few reservations at the nicest hotel around—she'd only managed to book 3 rooms. Price of course got his own room, leaving Gaz and Soap together, then you and Simon.

Sharing a room with Simon wasn't a big deal to either of you. You two had been forced to sleep practically on top of each other in much worse situations, and this room did in fact have 2 beds. The two of you were close as well, having fought wars together—you need to trust one another on and off the field.

You were more worried about what trouble Gaz and Soap would get into, being roommates.

It was time to check-in, the team arriving at the luxurious 5-star hotel looking slightly out of place in the clothes they'd been deployed in, and bags full of their gear. Price didn't want to make any unnecessary stops, so you'd all just taken everything with you.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, snow piled on the roof of the large building—and inside was even better. The architecture was beautiful and intricate, marble floors and a high ceiling in the lobby. There was a huge Christmas tree right in the centre, decorated with gold ornaments and twinkling lights, the banister of the upper levels decorated with swooping garlands and those same gold accents.

You had been snapped out of your trance—admiring the beautiful hotel—by Simons low, gravelly chuckle from beside you. He placed a large hand on your back, warmth seeping through your clothes, leading you towards the elevator.

"C'mon. I've got the key, and I'm desperate for a shower." He muttered. That's right, none of you had gotten the chance to stop anywhere to freshen up—having come to the hotel straight from your mission. His usual hard-shell skull mask and jawbone balaclava had been swapped out for a less frightening face mask that covered only the lower half of his face—also with a skull-print of course.
