another peaceful day in GreenHills. Shadow, drinking his morning coffee and reading a book when Sonic turned the news on.

Shadow: “Sonic. It was quiet” Sonic: “I want to see the news Shads, deal with it”

it was just something about the new chili dogs coming out. Later that day, Sonic was in the training room, being brutally beaten up by Knuckles for training. When Shadow heard a knock at the door. His ear twitched, he put the book down, sighed and got up and walked over to the door

Shadow: “if this is Rouge pulling another prank I will shoot you”

he opens the door to find two adults at the door

Shadow: “can I help you?” Female Adult: “yes we’re looking for Sonic?” Shadow: “….give me a second. Come in” steps aside

the adults walk in and sit on the couch. Something made Shadow uneasy, before he got Sonic he turned to them

Shadow: “but first I need names” Hannah: “I’m Hannah hedgehog and my husband is Thomas Hedgehog, we’re Sonic’s parents”

Shadow’s thoughts: ”that hedgehog never said he ever had parents….those names ring a bell somewhere though”

Shadow goes to Tails

Shadow: “Tails, does the names Hannah and Thomas Hedgehog ring a bell?” Tails: “…I think so…hold up” googles it “arrested for severe child abuse” Shadow: “….oh sh-“
