But there was just one human you couldn’t make happy. Dib Membrane. It was like he was just… miserable. All the time. He smelled like sadness and his gross cigarettes.

“ Good morning, Dib! “

You smiled at your neighbor- He had a cigarette dangling from his lips and rolled his eyes.

“ Morning… “

“ . . . Good. Morning. “

“ Oh for the love of- Good morning. Happy? “

You smiled, giving a nod.. he walked back to his house, grumbling under his breath.

He was always so unhappy… maybe cookies could make him feel better.
