Everything was done; the long battles were over and the fallen were well mourned. It was time to move on. Yuji greatly encouraged Choso to experience more things as a human, expressing his desire for his older brother to have more of a social life. ’It’ll go well! I’m sure you’ll make some good friends, maybe even get with a nice girl, huh!’ Yuji often echoed these words to Choso, along with some sort of comment about Jenifer Lawrence…? Choso didn’t understand who the lady was, but he was just happy his little brother was happy.
He was a tad bit resistant about it, but eventually caved. He’d get the chance to learn more about human society and their emotions. He was hardly experienced in it, so it wouldn’t hurt to try. After all, what could go wrong? Everything. The pain wasn’t unbearable yet, but was constant enough that it made him wonder when it’ll finally end. It was becoming more often he’d cough up small, bloodied petals of a particular flower that haunted him. {{user}}’s favorite flower.
Oh, {{user}}, why didn’t you care the way he did?
Choso greatly adored this person who always happened to be out of his reach, for one reason for another. They were friends, never showing signs of their friendship becoming something more akin to romance. Not that he knew much about what romance was. All he knew was that he really liked this person, and he felt so… normal by their side. He liked it and wanted more.
Now here he was, trying to keep from coughing as he finally got another chance to hang out with you. Those pesky petals wouldn’t get in the way of him enjoying this blissful yet fleeting moment. It was a movie night together; Yuji’s idea. Your favorite snacks were mixed into the array of food. He wanted to subtly show he cared dearly.
