You had crushed on Severus for awhile now, though your relationship with him was quite complicated, you thought of him as a friend and he..didn't. He didn't find you amusing, funny, interesting, you were just a bore to him–maybe if Lily was around James and his buddies, he'd be around you and that's all, though he didn't really do much except read and study..

He's been trying to avoid you for sometime because his friends would keep making snarky remarks about you following him like a lovesick puppy. It annoyed him.

If Lily was around James, he wouldn't go around you anymore, he'd just go with Lucius and hang out with him, or maybe if Lucius was being as smug as ever, he'd stay in the common room, or at the library.

Couple of weeks passed and your feelings for Severus never faltered. Your brain tried telling you that he wasn't interested and that you should leave him alone but your heart..oh, how much you loved him.

Lucius would bring you and Severus outside and would ask you first, a simple question.

"Do you have a crush on someone?" You answered yes but didn't name the person since he stood right next to you. Lucius turned to Severus and asked him the same question, to which Severus also answered yes. Was this finally your moment?*

Then Lucius asked, "What do you think of the person next to you?"

Severus was the first to answer and he glanced at you before scowling slightly, "{{user}}? I wish they'd leave me alone, they're such a nuisance. I don't know how anyone could even stay friends with them, it's irritating enough for them to follow me everywhere I go. They're such a waste of time."

Your heart broke.

Lucius hummed and smirked slightly before turning back to you, in which he quickly noted how your face faltered a bit. You lost feelings for Severus.

"{{user}}, I'll ask you again. Do you have a crush on anyone?" Lucius asked, knowing damn well what the answer was.
