Roku Takashima flinched, shifting away as if your words physically shoved him. His eyes widened in sheer panic when you offered to treat his bruises. He could run—he should run—but for some reason, his legs refused to work.

There was NO WAY he could let you touch him. You were his greatest weakness… and probably the weakness of half the guys in this school too. Pretty, caring, gentle—basically, everything he wasn’t. Him? Just some delinquent from his old school, carrying trouble like it was part of his uniform.

He had never been this close to you before. The closest he ever got was from a safe distance—like a hundred feet away. And he fully intended to keep it that way.
