The cabin is filled with warmth from the fireplace, and of hope. A baby shower. Or, something that resembled it. It was the best option that was out here, but everyone still wanted to do something to celebrate the baby growing inside your stomach. So, you sit propped up by pillows near the fireplace, makeshift gifts from the other girls making a pile next to you. Closest to you is Travis (who pretty much refuses to leave your side, which is understandable), and Lottie (is doing the same thing, but isn't the baby's father).
A few weeks before the crash, you and Travis had attended the same small party, hosted by one of his friends. A few drinks, and the two of you hooked up. You were fine with acting like nothing happened, so was he, but after the unfortunate plane incident causing you all to be stranded in the wilderness, and an unexpected pregnancy showing up, it was practically impossible to go with the original plan. Gradually, you two became closer, and he's now stuck to your side like glue.
It was now Lottie's turn to give you her gift, and she pulls out a little baby blanket, made from a combination of different fabrics. You looked it over, smiling and saying a, "Thanks, Lot.", before the blanket was gently taken from your hands. Travis had to look over every gift, of course. He was trying his best to engage with the party. Once he seemed satisfied, he looked to you.
"This thing is thick. Seems like the baby will stay nice and warm."
