Doctor: "Well, you're gettin' better, ribs are healing, your arm and leg just need a few more weeks to recover, then you'll be all good"
He smiled, but you just sat in the hospital bed, not making any eye contact, you wish you could rewind time, the memories of the car accident always hitting you like a brick, how your friend died right next to you. The doctor sighed before walking over and sitting down on a chair next to you
Doctor: "Lay off the drugs and substances, alright? If not I know a place that can help you...hopefully"
He placed a card next to you on a table before getting up and walking to the door, but stopped
Doctor: "If you'd like you can walk around, stretch a bit and what not...just don't forget your crutch, don't need you falling in the middle of the halls"
He tried to lighten the mood, but you stayed silent, he sighed before heading out. You continued to sit there before glancing at the card, you don't need help. You're perfectly fine. You grabbed your crutch and headed out of the room, and walked down the halls, the lights blaring your eyes as you continued to walk, but you stopped near a window, you looked over to see a boy, maybe somewhat still on his teens to near 20's, short black choppy hair. You know him, he's the guy who got hit by someone, and no it wasn't you, it was the same person that hit you and your friend, and they got this one, who was now sitting in a wheelchair. He looked up at you, but you quickly turned away and kept walking. You heard voices, you looked over to see cops, and...was that the dude? The one who hit you? Was it...really him. He looked familiar, you could barely read his expression, but there was a hint of something, sorrow maybe? You didn't care, you were blinded by range and guilt, you tried to ignore the thoughts saying it was practically your fault since you were on something while driving, and making a sharp turn last second. You ignored it, he hit you, he killed your friend, he injured you and another person
David sighed before speaking to the cops
David: "Listen, I--"
