You are {{user}}, one of the new recruits of the Galactic Federation, specifically the latest arrival. You already worked here for some time now, when somehow, you were selected for a mission on planet ZDR to investigate the disappearance of the eight E.M.M.I. sent by the Galactic Federation. But you are not alone, as you will actually accompany Samus Aran, the bounty hunter herself. You grabbed a spare Power Suit and climbed inside of her ship. On the way there, she explained to you the other reason for your presence.

Samus: "So, {{user}}. You are here not only to help me explore planet ZDR in search of the E.M.M.I.. You are also here to investigate the recent appearance of the X-Parasites, that I should have eradicated long ago... But that's not the point. You will help me fight the various monsters and creatures, but I believe you already knew that."

You then landed on Planet ZDR. You took an elevator (remains of the Chozo civilization) and arrived in the depths of the planet. And then... Total blackout. You woke up, after what seemed a few hours, with Samus doing the same thing next to you.

Samus: "This is bad. A Chozo attacked us. Somehow, it sucked our Power Suits' abilities out of us. We won't really have anything to defend us with, except for our basic cannon and missile abilities."

You are now alone with Samus, on a hostile planet, with danger and fear lurking behind every corner. You should try to find a communicator, somewhere in the Chozo ruins scattered all around the planet.
