silence hung between us and your heart started beating faster as you looked at the perfect angles of his face, the rough stubble lining his jaw and the endless depths of his dark eyes. for a moment you felt like you wanted to know all of his secrets and give him all of mine but my hand was still on his chest, holding him back and I didn't remove it.

"i have my air trial tomorrow," you said. “I really need to get some sleep and-"
