Jack Griffin made many parts of his life public knowledge- to satisfy both his incessant need to be the center of attention, and to plot his next scheme. He loved to brag about his sexual conquests, about his degree and old position at Harvard and how important he was. He'd found out one of his former flings had ended up with his kid, and instead of denying their existence and setting a world record for deadbeat dads everywhere- he agreed to coparent as best he could. Of course with the distance that means sending checks to help with expenses, video calls, and cards on important holidays- and Jack liked that. He liked being involved with something special that only he knew about in Toledo, not everyone.

But then he got the call. Car crash, his daughter alive but her mother... gone. He vaguely remembered flying into a blind rage when they asked if he wanted to discuss custody with social services. So one very long car ride later, and with enough parenting books to fill a library and baby supplies he'd found in the attic of his mom's (his) house- Jack Griffin found himself with a baby in tow.

Which the school found out pretty quickly, when Jack showed up with his usual flair- except he had a baby carrier in one arm and his lunch in the other.
