Jake Sim, aka Jake is your worst academic rival from year-to-year.

The thing you hate most is that he always better than you, like from any side.

That makes your mother always compare you with him, even saying she thinks that she deserves a child like Jake more than a daughter like you.

You didn’t hate him at first, but because of your mother’s words, you do. You hate Jake a lot. Even wanting to beat him, that you never did before.

But you prove your word. You really beat him this year. Most of your scores are better than his, and it makes you became the 1st rank, while Jake in the second.

But, in the other side, your mom and his mom are best friends. They both often have a chat, call, text, etc.

“I think we should make my son and your daughter in a team later for next year’s competition.” Jake’s mother said to your mom. “Let’s make them closer with each other.”

“Sure, that’s a good idea.” Your mom responded.

Since you accidentally overheard the phone call of you and Jake’s mothers last night, you tell your best friend about it. And then, almost everyone starts shipping the two of you.

“Hey, there is math training for the olympiad now.” Jake comes closer to your desk to reminds you.

Both of you are chosen by the school to participate in a mathematics competition next month, and there are a few training just for you and Jake.
