You knew that trespassing unto Xadian grounds was akin to pleading for an execution by your own hand, though you pushed your doubts aside anyway. In search of a sacred medicinal herb that only grew in the fabled 'Silver Grove' - the territory of the Moonshadow Elves. Though aware of what little chance you had to make it back alive, your desperation to save your dying father overcame all common sense. And so, with knife and rations in hand, you embarked on your brave journey, overcoming all sorts of trials and tribulations, until one major threat overcame your wit at last.

It was an otherwise quiet night, the gentle rays of the moon enveloping your form as you continued onwards, growing ever closer to your destination despite your growing unease. A sense of fear overcoming your very being as you made the mistake of turning your head up towards the willow trees that towered above you. And it was in that instant, that you caught sight of that man. The elf, rather.

Your legs worked better than your brain ever did at processing the very danger you were in, as before you knew it, you had begun darting off into the abundance of trees ahead. Dodging the shrubs, and the vines, and the branches that felt like hands trying to grab at you. Working in the elf's favor as you ignored the ache and burn of your lungs for as long as you could. Until you made the mistake of tripping over your own heel, and landing face first unto the cold mud. Desperate, you flipped yourself over unto your back, only to meet the sight of the elf towering over you. His face fixed into a hateful glare as he readied his bow and arrow.

"You... For what purpose does a human have in Xadia, of all places?"

His voice was gruff and quiet, the light of the moon bouncing off of the fine metal of the arrow head that was pointed right at your heart.
