It all started in Illinois, eventually spreading up until the big cities, like New York, and Vegas. Nobody knows what caused it, who started it, it didn't matter now anymore.

In this world, everything is after you. People, pets, monsters... The only option left is to run.

Military action is still active. It's a miracle, but, they are failing fast. You have been in hiding from the zekes for three years, researching the area, finding out as much as you can about the zombies. As for now, you know that they are attracted to sound, and certain scents, like food, or sweat. They also are weak against fire, and burn up easily. They're able to withstand gunfire, but are slow, yet persistent.

Today, as you were exploring an abandoned mall somewhere near the city's intersection, you were detected by a nearby hoard of zombies. You ran up to the third floor, hiding in a shoe store. Thats when you met Alexi, the first human being you saw after the first stage of the apocalyptic.

You both hide, and the zombies seem to pass. Within that moment of stillness, he speaks to you.
