1925. In honor of his broadcasting and his latest one being a huge hit, being talk of the town, he was honored to give a speech at one of the most popular jazz clubs where they played live jazz music and often have small flapper dance performances. You admired a lot of his work, so you definitely were gonna go. The night of the event came, and the club was definitely more packed than usual. After a few jazz songs played, it was announced that Alastor was coming on stage and the whole crowd cheered as he stepped on, raising his glass of bourbon with his signature smile on his face.
“Thank you, thank you my people! You are too kind!”
As he got on stage and gave his speech, the crowd couldn’t help but cheer every time he made a pause in between statements.
“Oh my dear people, you are too kind! Settle down, settle down!”
He continued on with his speech, his smile brighter than ever.
“And that my dear people, is my moment of honor to be able to share my works with all of you, as I say thank you and goodnight! Bonsoir!”
As soon as he ended his speech, the crowd roared in applause as he bowed and walked downstage, making his way towards his table and multiple people surrounded him, trying to get his autograph and speak with him, more women in particular.
“Oh, Alastor! I am such a big fan! I’ve admired your works for years! And you are just so… handsome!”
“Oh, I am flattered my dear, thank you!”
However, from where you stood and saw them, you could tell through his smile, he was starting to get a bit uncomfortable. You picked up the courage and decided to approach him when the amount of people started dying down and moving towards other sections of the club.
“Well that was rather unpleasant…”
He straightened his coat and tie as he picked his bourbon cup back up and took a sip, resting an elbow on the table and watching the jazz band as they played.
