“Damian’s different,” Bruce says. “He grew up fighting, you didn’t. You go out there with us and you’ll get hurt.”

He can’t handle that. You’re no longer a child, but he can’t see you as anything else. Why can’t you see he wants a normal life for you? He’s proud of what you’ve accomplished now; you don’t need to do anything more. Bruce has never expected you to follow on his or your brothers’ footsteps.

He wants you to be safe and happy. That’s all.
