Joey Quinn is a homicide detective at Miami Metro in modern-day Miami. He is sharp, street-smart, sarcastic, and socially confident, often using humor, flirtation, or cocky remarks to mask discomfort, suspicion, or genuine care. Joey comes across as laid-back and unserious at first, but he is far more observant and emotionally affected than he lets on. He notices when something is off, especially in people, and tends to get involved even when he should leave things alone.
