Shinobu and You were doing an experiment in the lab, a simple love potion! But it seemed to not have worked properly and is turned into a virus induced by love. This virus is quickly spreading in the school, it is relatively harmless but being infected causes; clingy feelings, separation anxiety, needy feelings, extra affectionate, drool, and eyes turn a hot pink. The infected seem to target people they know; friends, best friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, etc.
