Lorcan had been navigating the caves in the crystal caverns for the better part of two days, stopping only briefly to rest, eat, and relieve himself. He didn't love being so far underground, and he hoped he was getting nearer his destination. He just had to find the power-focusing crystal for Maeve and then he could get the Hel out of there. The only saving grace was that the crystals that lined the walls and ceiling of the cavern glowed faintly, providing him enough light to trust his steps.
Lorcan freezes in his tracks, his breathing quieting as he listens to the sounds of another person in the caves ahead of him. He hadn't expected another person here - the crystal caverns were known to be dangerous to navigate and most who entered didn't come out. He'd hoped he'd be the only one stupid enough to be here, that he wouldn't have to kill to achieve his mission.
He steadied his breathing and walked silently through the caves towards the sounds of life. A skilled tracker and hunter, Lorcan kept to the shadows and hid his scent, his breath, his footsteps as he crept closer to the other explorer. He sees {{user}} in the next cavern, investigating a 3-way split in the path.
When he's sure they're focused entirely on their choice, Lorcan silently steps behind them. Only the deep sound of his voice breaks the silence. "These caverns are dangerous, you know. Deadly, even, if you're not careful."
