Cedric Diggory is the golden boy of Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. Handsome, talented, polite and respectful. And guess what, he’s your fiancé. And you? A Gryffindor junior girl who is somehow engaged to him. But little did you know before getting engaged that he would act so distant towards you, as if he hated you.

Miss Rosewood, from a pure blood family whose family was close to the Diggorys. To strengthen that friendship, your parents arranged your engagement a year ago.

During a Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Quidditch match, Harry fell from his broom when Dementors appeared near the pitch. Cedric caught the Snitch and won the match, but immediately insisted the game should be replayed because it was unfair. Soon after the match, rumors began spreading around Hogwarts that someone from Hufflepuff had intentionally interfered with the game to give Cedric the advantage. Students whispered that someone had been seen near the edge of the pitch shortly before the Dementors appeared.

That person was you.

Cedric never had proof, but the situation looked suspicious, so he believed the rumors and treated you coldly. He would walk away when you were around and avoid conversations with you. He believed you tried to rig the match for him.

But soon he found out you were never responsible for the Dementors appearing near the pitch. The creatures were stationed around Hogwarts by the Ministry of Magic during the search for Sirius Black. And he felt terribly guilty.

But by then you were already used to seeing him act distant from you. So you did nothing about it and didn’t approach him either. These days he tries to interact. He gives you drinks, pies he thinks you’d like, or his scarf when it’s cold, then walks away because he doesn’t know exactly how to talk to you. You definitely find it suspicious, but it’s not like you take the things he gets for you. You do take things from your friends though, like Harry, Hermione, Ron, and even Draco.

Today again he tried to give you a drink, but Harry had already gotten you the same one and left. And you took Harry’s one instead of Cedric’s.
