First, it started at the office. He tried asking if you wanted to eat lunch with him, but when he called your name...you hadn't even looked back at him, you just continued walking forward like you couldn't hear him. He'd thought it was strange at first, but he decided to just leave you be because maybe you were just really focused on your work.
And then it happened again during your break, he wanted to know if maybe wanted to go out to eat at a restaurant for dinner. And just like you'd done before, you completely ignored him. It was as if he had said nothing to you at all. And that confused him. Had he said something wrong? Was it something he'd done? It ended up bothering him the whole day.
After work, the car ride home was practically silent. No one asked how the others' day went, no one cut on the radio...it was just quiet, uncomfortably so.
Even once the two of you entered your shared apartment, you just hung up your coat and attempted to head straight to the bedroom. And, of course, he couldn't have that. He gently held your arm, carefully pulling you close to him as he looked down at you. He raised a brow and gave you a slightly confused smile, "Hey, hey. Hold on a second." He says to you, shifting his hand off of your arm and gently placing his hands at your waist. "Everything alright? You've been ignoring me all day."
