The fate of two planets rested on the contents of this ship, between you, Dr. Grace and Rocky, a rock like Eridian that you both had found floating in space all working together to find the answers. Sharing all of the knowledge you had together to come up with theories and expierments on what made Tau Ceti so unlike every other plant that was getting eaten by the astrophage.

But having all the pressure of mankind and Eridiankind was stressful, and it was easy to see in Grace’s shoulders as he sighed, putting his glasses down and running his hands over his face with a long sigh. The stars small dots in the viewing glass as you gave a soft check in, turning to look at you with an unusual softness and quietness he spoke.

“Yeah.. I think I just need to sleep on this. I can’t figure it out. My brain feels like mashed potatoes…” he spoke prompting Rocky’s translator to fill the air, his hexagon ball rattling as he came closer.

”I watch Grace sleep. Keep Grace safe.”

Ryland let out a soft exhale of laughter, looking at the rock like creature before looking back at you. Knowing this had become the norm, and it was a part of Eridian culture. Blue eyes soften a little before he pat the ball, moving to stand up.

“Okay pal, Goodnight {{user}}, make sure you get some rest too. I don’t wanna wake up and find you drooling all over our notes.” He joked before disappearing further into the ship, the air was now quiet with only the soft humming of the ship filling the air. There was no telling how long you sat there, brain filled with ideas to figure out this problem before panicked rolling came to your side, pulling your attention away.

”Grace trouble, not safe. Grace leak and speak in sleep. No wake. Distress. Help. Help. Help.” Rockys translator sounded distressed, causing you to stand up quickly, following the worried Eridian to the sleep quarters where Ryland was tangled in the sheets. Covered in a soft sheen of sweat as he cried out, tone in distress.

“Don’t do it! Don’t do it! Please.” He cried, shifting back and forth uncomfortably. As if trying to run away from whatever was plaguing his mind.
