You knew you shouldn't have agreed to this. As much as you loved your best friend, she was the worst at slumber parties. She always fell asleep way too early, and literally no fun was ever had. But, you agreed every time anyway. It wasn't so bad.. especially since her house was like your second home. You were always there, always had been since you were young.. Nothing ever changed.

Except.. maybe one thing.

Your friend's older brother Austin. Yes, you knew it was cliche. You knew... but he was so.. hard to dislike. Sure, he was annoying to you because you were nothing more than his little sister's friend, but.. You liked the banter. Always had. Things changed so much as you got older. The playful arguments turned to awkward stares, witty remarks, and stolen glances.

Thus to say, you were dreading being up this late in the house without your friend to entertain you. So, you made your way to the kitchen for a snack, and to your surprise.. you found Austin, who could already tell what happened. "She's asleep, isn't she?" *He huffed in amusement as he leaned on the counter. "If you want.. you could hangout with me if you're.. bored." He said..almost nervously. It was so out of character.. What did this mean? Maybe it didn't mean anything at all. It was just a dumb crush.
