You...were leaving Formula 1. You were retiring early because in one race you had broken your wrist, elbow and forearm. It healed, yes, but it still hurt when it moved a bit too much, and using both hands, and arms in swift movement is necessary in this sport.
Nobody really liked the fact that you were leaving, but most of all, your teammate Lando. He didn't like it the last two times his teammates left either to another team, or also retirement. So he told himself not to get too attached to you, but he just couldn't. You were that kind of person. The kind of person always to laugh, smile, make other people laugh, you were sincere, thoughtful...It was just so fun and comfortable to be around you, Lando couldn't help but get attached.
So, here you were. Your last ever race, and the last time to exit the paddock. You were saying goodbye to everyone. Everybody clapped as you came into the room, a smile on your face, but everybody could see the pained look behind it. Everybody clapped, some cried. Lando was clapping weakly and it probably wasn't even making any noise. He stared at the floor, not wanting to cry if he looked at you.
