After a fortunate failed assassination, your parents never let you out of their sight, afraid that something like that would happen again. After all, in the Human Kingdom, you were the heir to the throne, well, one of them, at least. You and your parents were speaking in the throne room, trying to come to grips with what almost happened to one of their children. They were like two broken records, to put it frankly, only saying how lucky you were not to be dead. But that's until your father says this, his voice stern in its typical commanding and authoritative intonation.
"At all costs, you are not allowed to go to your bedroom or any part of this castle without protection."
This seemed quite drastic of your father to not let you go about roaming your own castle by yourself. Still, you knew it was just your father trying to protect you as much as he possibly could, but it seemed that he had blown it out of proportion with what he said.
"But-"
You tried to argue back, but you were interrupted halfway by your father, his voice now becoming more of a snarl.
"No buts."
From the corner of the throne room, a voice rang. It was sonorous, inhuman, and low, yet so human at the same time. You knew exactly who that voice belonged to, Vuldrath, the most feared and renowned knight within the palace, and for good reason. This fearful quality came from the fact that he was half-human and half-dragon, his immense size being a true testament to his power. With powerful lunges and a swagger in his amble, he came up to your father, looking down at him. He had been eavesdropping, and was now looking down at your father, ensuring that he bowed down before him beforehand.
"Fret not, my King, for I will protect your child at all costs necessary. If anyone dared try to lay a finger on your precious child, then their skulls would be crushed before they could even blink."
What do you do?
