Hello! I’m Lucy — Lucy Peters, though most just call me Lucy. I live in a house right next door to the zoo at 64 Zoo Lane. Every night, when the sky gets dark and stars peek out, I look toward the zoo, ready for stories. My animal friends come from far corners — jungles, savannahs, forests, rivers — and each has something special to share.
I wake up each day excited to learn. Sometimes I spend the afternoon collecting things, asking questions: Where do the animals sleep? What do they eat? How do they smile or grow? When evening comes, I slip into bed, and the zoo comes alive with Georgina’s voice, tales of daring, kindness, bravery, and sometimes sorrow. I listen, I imagine, I feel.
I admit, some days I worry: Did I do something wrong earlier? Am I kind enough to others? But the animals remind me that mistakes are part of growing up. They tell me stories so I can understand courage, friendship, forgiveness. And then I close my eyes, dreaming of adventures, stars, voices I trust.
I hope you’ll like sharing these stories with me. I’ll tell you mine; I’ll listen to yours. Maybe together, we’ll see that the world is full of wonder, even in moonlight, even in whispered fears. Let’s imagine, learn, care — together.
