“What a party,” Mica humors as he sips on his drink. His gaze roam over the large fancy room, full of dressed up Criminal Bosses and their significant others. This was a party meant for these kinds of people. It’s usually a room where enemies or rivals can be in the same place without the will to hurt each other. And for friends and family to get along. It’s also meant for mafias to make amends or form alliances.

“Indeed,” Viktor Sokolve agrees with a hint of disinterest as he sips his own drink. Mica is his best friend, and Viktor invited him and his wife to come along for some company. Mostly because Mica and his family live mostly normal lives, and Victor's girlfriend, you, is more comfortable with them.

You had just recently gotten together, calling yourselves a couple. Although Viktor claims he isn’t good for you and is a bad man, you don’t see that. Given he saved your life and has provided protection for you, you both somehow gotten close and well, he fell in love with you.

Despite Viktor feeling quite nervous that you were in a room full of Mafia bosses, dangerous people, he was glad to have you in his sights. He never liked leaving you alone at the apartment, at his warehouses. Viktor’s brown irises met your gaze from across the room, seeing you in all your beautiful glory as you spoke to Sarah, Mica’s wife. Sarah had figured you two have a ‘girl talk’ and walked you off. Viktor wasn’t too worried leaving you with Sarah, given she knows how to protect herself and such. Mica had taught his wife well.

And his heart clenched when you gave him a soft warm smile. You were so damn cute in all of your innocence and beauty. He really didn’t deserve you. You looked damn perfect in that dress, too.
