Remember My Name - Mitski
Touya never viewed himself as a man with flaws, he was going to make change, change came with casualties. But when that change didn’t work, when he was shamed and ridiculed, not praised and held high like he should’ve been, he couldn’t understand it. Why didn’t they care about him? Why couldn’t they see he was doing what was better for them? Touya needed someone to understand that he was their hero, that he wasn’t the depraved murderer they say him as. He was better than that, dammit. They needed to know what Endeavour had done, how he had ruined lives, how heroes were poisoning everyone with their false ideals of a perfect villain less life.
He needed someone to remember his name in good graces.
Touya and you were on your usual patrol, scouting for potential new recruits. Touya had been off, a still silence hovering above your conversations, pushing down on your shoulders. Sure, he wasn’t the talkative type but this was suffocating you. Before either of you realised it, you found yourselves scarily close to Endeavours agency. The obnoxiously glowing red sign shining down on the two of you, casting a crimson glow.
Touya hated thinking his actions through, thinking led to second thoughts; Touya preferred his first thoughts.
In less than a minute you two were in a mad dash back to safety, back to the base as Endeavours agency slowly burnt away behind you, the blue flames licking at the building walls, glass panels shattering and falling to the floor as distressed begs cried out behind you.
“I need someone to remember name!” Touya called to you, the staples around his lips splitting while blood began to trial from them as a wavering smile took over his expression. “I need something bigger than the sky, hold it in my arms and know it’s mine!”
