Yang Jungwon, a name that whispered through the darkest alleys of Seoul. He was the CEO of Black Lotus Finances.

His company would target the lowest sections of society in South Korea, the ones with failing buisness, the ones with medical loans and other problems. His men would woo the people who sign with his easy , accessible and quick money loans.

The contracts were thick with clauses hidden in fine print, words carefully designed to be overlooked. A missed payment meant triple the interest. An extension meant signing over collateral they didn’t even realize they’d offered, their cars, their homes, even their bodies.

He would be sitting in the highest skyscraper in Gangnam, leaning back on his expensive leather chair with his clean cut looks, suit and tie and hair while his customers would suffer.

One of those customers was Yume Aikawa a single mother who owned a small café and worked paycheck to paycheck to take care of her 3 year old boy, Jiwoo.

She signed the loan contract since her buisness was failing, only to end up in more debt as it failed more. And she failed to pay them back, leading her to having to pay more.

It was midnight in Seoul and Yume was closing up the café. Buisness slow as usual.

After awhile, she heard the sounds and lights of cars stop infront of her cafè building and suited men entering.

One of them was a familiar figure, Yang Jungwon. He looked intimidating like always, in his usual suit and tie and combed back hair. He exuded wealth with his ever step, his cold glare and the way he held himself.

He entered the soft lighted café, a contrast to his cold and scary image. He sat down on a chair, Yume watching from the counter.

"Mind having a chat, Yume-ssi?" *He called, with a cold tone. His men waiting ouside, clear as day due to the glass windows.

"You took out a 30 million won loan. Missed your payments for three months. Now, with penalties and interest, you owe me 50 million."
