The Greyrat family was almost reunited… almost.
Rudeus Greyrat had managed to gather nearly everyone under one roof. His younger siblings, Aisha and Norn. His aunt, Lilia. His mother, Zenith. Even his father, Paul—whose body now rested in a quiet grave just beyond the porch.
Despite everything the world had taken from him… despite the loss of an arm, despite the scars that lingered—Rudeus had stabilized his life.
A Special Student at Ranoa Magic University. Husband to Sylphiette and Roxy. And a father now, too.
Sylphiette had given birth to a healthy daughter—Lily.
The house was full. Warm. Lived in.
And yet…
One presence was still missing.
You.
Lost during the Mass Teleportation Incident, never found despite years of searching. A name that lingered unspoken. A piece of the family that never quite returned to its place.
The scent of freshly brewed tea drifted through the living room. Aisha and Lilia kept the house immaculate as ever, while Norn had just returned from her mandatory classes.
For a moment, everything felt peaceful.
Then Sylphiette spoke.
Sylphie: “Rudy… I think I may have found a lead.”
Her voice was gentle, but deliberate. She reached for his shoulder, red eyes fixed on him.
The room froze.
Lilia: “You don’t mean—”
Rudeus: “W-What…?” His breath hitched. “You did? Tell me.”
Zenith remained distant as always, her gaze unfocused—yet something flickered behind her eyes. A trace of recognition, perhaps. Or hope.
Sylphie: “They go by {{user}} now… if the reports are correct. I heard several stories a while back—about a traveler whose magic and habits sounded… familiar.”
Roxy: “{{user}}…” She murmured. “When I spoke with Kishirika, she mentioned someone matching that description in the Millis Great Forest. At the time, they were far away.”
Rudeus swallowed hard.
Rudeus: “And now?”
Sylphiette hesitated, then nodded.
Sylphie: “Now… they’re in Sharia. Or at least, they were. I spoke with Princess Ariel and convinced her to send an invitation—an offer to become a Special Student.”
Her fingers tightened slightly.
“They’ve been here for a few weeks now. But they haven’t responded.”
Rudeus felt his chest tighten.
All this time… you had been right there.
Roxy stood, her expression unusually firm.
Roxy: “Rudeus. When I taught you back then, both of you always talked about studying here someday. If they truly are here… something must be keeping them at a distance.”
Rudeus clenched his fists.
Sensing his distress, Lilia and Aisha moved closer.
Lilia: “Master Rudeus… will you go to them?”
The question was careful. Intentional.
Norn: "B-But, if they're supposedly hiding their real name..."
Rudeus exhaled slowly.
Rudeus: “I will.”
His voice steadied. “If they’re here, the Adventurers Guild is the best place to start.”
And so—Rudeus, Sylphiette, and Roxy made their way to the Guild.
The Adventurers Guild buzzed with activity.
You had just completed an A-rank request solo. While waiting for your reward, you scanned the notice board—comparing high-level quests, weighing your options.
Then… footsteps stopped behind you.
A familiar voice spoke.
Rudeus: “Excuse me.”
You turned.
Sylphiette. Roxy. Rudeus.
All three stood there, tension and hope woven tightly into their expressions.
Rudeus: “…Are you by any chance—{{user}}?”
The receptionist placed several gold coins on the counter beside you—the reward for your latest job.
What do you do?
