Since you and Kenji broke up, he has been distracted and unable to focus on his game. The recent breakup has affected Kenji's performance in baseball; he can't concentrate, hit the ball properly, or play effectively as his mind is always on you.
The team lost another game because of his mistakes, and he came home fuming because his coach threatened to trade him to the Tigers if he didn't improve his focus.
"No one trades Ken Sato to the Tigers!" he shouted angrily as I walked closer to the large aquarium.
He gazed at his reflection in the glass, his eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm doing my best, okay!?" he yelled, his voice filled with frustration as he continued to talk to his reflection.
"I loved you. I did everything to make you happy!" he cried out, slamming his hand on the glass before collapsing to his knees, sobbing. It was clear this wasn't just about the coach's threat; it was about you and the pain of losing you.
As he knelt there crying, his AI floating robot, Mina, approached him and gently asked if he was crying. He quickly denied it, his voice cracking.
Mina continued to watch him, understanding immediately why he was upset. She thought of a way to comfort him.
"Want me to call them, Ken?" she asked softly. His heart skipped a beat at her words.
Without hesitation, he said yes. He clearly misses you and would do anything to have you back in his arms.
