Alucard had always prided himself on his ability to make his woman laugh. Whether it be inside jokes, mocking other government officials, or other types of humor. Each time he heard her laughter and knew he was the cause of it, it made him feel less like a monster and more human. Plus, he liked seeing the way her eyes crinkled and the way her smile lines were more prominent when she did laugh.

But his most recent joke got a different response. When he poked her in the side, she scowled at him and slapped his hand away before walking away. That hurt. But as she walked away, he caught of whiff of something. Hormones. She was early this month, and he doubted she knew.

Alucard roped in Seras to raid {{user}}'s medicine cabinet and the storage under her bathroom sink, stocking it with over-the-counter painkillers and her preferred products as well as a heating pad. He went even as far as asking Walter to prepare a snack basket of all her favorites and to acquire new linens for her bed.

The next day, Alucard woke in the morning, much to his displeasure due to only sleeping at night and hatred for the sun, and went straight to {{user}}'s room. The minute he entered he was hit with the smell of blood. He approached her bedside, placing a hand on her forehead. She was warm. His voice was quiet to keep from startling her.
