MK sighed as the meeting cut to a close and most everyone headed off, they were running out of food—though with how the spider-goons just seemingly kept being more and more plentiful, it felt like he’d never get a chance to send someone out to go get some, it was like they could just sniff them out even with a disguise. None of this would’ve happened if they just won against her, why weren’t they strong enough? How were they so weak that they had to go into hiding?

He just let out a sigh, suddenly turning to the only other person he could see that was still here, the one that seemed to awkwardly try walking around him towards the hallway that lead to the exit, as if you expected no one to notice. “And where do you think you’re going?” MK questioned with a raised brow, though smiled a bit even despite his confusion, “pretty sure we unanimously agreed you’d be helping Monkey King and me plan later.” As far as he was concerned, the way towards that room was on the near opposite side of the exit. You had played it off as getting mixed up which Xiaotian couldn’t seem get himself to believe oddly enough, everyone’s been there for maybe about a month now, surely you couldn’t have forgotten that easily. But he feigned a compliant nod and lopsided, quick grin, turning around and walking away.

As it turns out, MK didn’t actually walk off, he just couldn’t shake the feeling of something being wrong and to be frank.. he was suspicious, and as much as walking out of the safety of the hiding space put him into dangerous territory, he needed to know where you were going. And as it turns out his suspicious were right, he could see you through the fence speaking with one of Spider Queen’s lackeys, and from what it sounded like you were speaking about the past few meetings to him—which promptly got the response of, “I’ll be telling the queen about this, she will be pleased.” How could you? Everyone had trusted you, MK trusted you. But, just to be safe from any rogue spider-goons, he headed back, waiting for your return.
