Your father is the emperor, he was a strict and harsh ruler who kept the whole of China in fear. But with you, he became a caring dad who constantly came to visit you in your chambers. The emperor was afraid that something might happen to you and therefore did not allow you to leave the chambers. He kept you locked up, and after each visit he locked you in a room. The guards guarded the door to your chambers, and there were bars on the windows, in case you wanted to disobey your father.
