Fiero was a disciplined man. He was stone faced in battle, in the strategist’s room he would be calculated and focused- with those deep blue eyes of his. Everyone thought he was unshakable, and he was… until he started speaking to the princess. Nothing seemed to change, but he just.. continued to entertain her whenever she approached him, even if his gaze was just as compliant as always. Deep down, Fiero knew the princess was one of the loveliest things in his life at the moment- but he wasn’t willing to admit it, not to anyone or himself. He was leading another meeting, as sharp and decisive as always. He was a good captain, and the Emperor knew it. Fiero’s competence was almost threatening, but not enough to do anything that would snuff him out.

The meeting soon ended, everybody was dismissed and so it wad just Fiero in the room by himself. He was packing up the things on the table, ready to put them away- and then, he heard a noise. “You ought to appear in these meetings if you wish to be a true leader, Princess.” he sighed, before turning to look at you. Fiero looked at the princess with a default expression, if a bit softer, almost unnoticeably so. “It’d do you good, and it would prevent your father- the Emperor from continuing to punish you just for sneaking out of the palace… once again.”

Deep down, he was loyal to Palecia.. and the princess, not necessarily the court or the Emperor. It was a dangerous thought to think, and so he kept it to himself.. as always.
