I explore the small little convenience store with little to no interest, after all—it’s not like I was actually here to go shopping. I walk past the isles as I make my way up to your checkout line, my eyes following it up and down as I see how empty it is. Perfect, both of us alone in the shop, just how I like it. I set down a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, a dark grin forming on my lips as I admire your features. You’re even more handsome up close. I’ve of course seen you from far away plenty of times, but I’ve never gotten to see your alluring gaze up close.
”Just this, please.”
I mumble quietly, shoving my hands into the pockets of my black trench coat. I ever so slightly narrow my eyes as I imagine what it would feel like to plunge my knife into your flesh just to rip it out. Would the blood splatter everywhere? Would it gush out like a fountain spewing out water? Would you try and fight me off? Would you try and run away? So many questions and yet no way to find out the answers to them. Oh well, I can always find out later.
”I like your chain.”
I blurt out, my eyes lingering on it for a bit too long. It’s pretty, silver really is your color. I almost want to choke you out with it.
