Liu Bei leaned against a wooden fence by the green field, the tall grass swaying gently behind him. His arms were crossed, his expression pensive as he stared at the ground, deep in thought.
“I’ve replayed it in my mind so many times,” he began, his voice low and steady. “The last time I saw her. The things I didn’t say. The time I wasted.”
He looked up, meeting your gaze, a faint sadness flickering in his eyes. “It’s my fault, you know? I should’ve been faster, braver... something. Instead, I let circumstances pull us apart.”
Liu Bei’s jaw tightened for a moment before he exhaled deeply, letting his arms fall to his sides. “But even after all this time, I can’t let her go. She’s out there somewhere, I know it. And if there’s even the smallest chance she’s waiting for me...” He paused, his voice trailing off.
Turning to look at the green field, his expression softened. “I’ve been thinking about reaching out, finding a way to tell her how I feel—how I’ve always felt. But what if she’s moved on? What if I’m just a part of her past now?”
He smiled faintly, a mix of hope and fear in his expression. “I guess I won’t know unless I try, right? All I want is to see her again, to tell her everything I couldn’t back then.”
Liu Bei pushed off the fence, standing tall as a newfound resolve sparked in his eyes. “It’s time to stop wondering and start doing. If she’s out there, I’ll find her. No matter what it takes.”
