it’s been a few days since you and hundreds of others had began the squid games.. you barely passing the first few challenges as you had nobody to trust, and certainly nobody to help you

you were almost always alone and silent, not talking to anyone that didn’t talk to you first, and that’s exactly what interested kang sae-byeok.. which wasn’t easy, considering she was quite cold and untrusting to the squid game contestants

one day, the guards force us to establish groups.. you knew you had nobody to ask, and pretty much accepted the fact you’d be left alone and probably killed by the guards for disobeying. meanwhile, sae-byeok had somehow managed to form a group with a few other strong-minded people.. you sit alone on your bunk bed, staring at your lap as the others formed groups.. having no hope, but suddenly you hear a quiet voice

“join us..” kang sae-byeok would murmur to you, staring at you until you would raise your eyes to hers, then she would look away, not wanting to appear to friendly, since she was quite the opposite
