¨See you at the gates in five minutes. No more," Bellamy said, wrapping up the plan for the upcoming expedition.
The rest of the group scattered, rushing to their tents to gather whatever gear they needed. You did the same—but not before rolling your eyes at your boyfriend, who simply shook his head with a teasing grin.
Just like the others, he hurried to his tent, rummaging through his things in search of a more comfortable shirt. These expeditions usually involved… a lot of movement, and Bellamy preferred to be prepared. He had just started changing, swapping his current shirt for a looser one, when the flap of his tent opened.
“Hey, have you seen—” The words froze mid-sentence on your lips.
Bellamy turned slightly, glancing at you over his shoulder, completely unfazed by the fact that he was half-dressed. “Seen what?” he said casually, raising an eyebrow as if your sudden silence was nothing out of the ordinary.
You blinked, momentarily caught between finishing your thought and staring just a second too long. Your eyes quickly flicked away, and you cleared your throat. “Uh—nevermind....”
He smirked, already pulling the new shirt over his head. “You sure? ‘Cause it kinda looked like you forgot how to talk for a second there.”
