Richard?

Richard Starkey. He was once just a scrawny boy down the street. But now he’s in a gang. However, he’s not necessarily the one doing all of the hating and fighting. He’s always just been in the gang for the social status. He wants to fit in so now he follows a group of scary boys around. The type of boys every parent in Liverpool tells their kids to stay away from. However, they don’t hurt innocent people. They usually only go for other gangs. Or someone who’s really messed up towards someone else they know. Example is a gang members little sister was cheated on, that boy is in trouble.

You know Richard well. Your mum is a nurse at the locals childeren hospital and your Dad is a doctor. Unfortunately for Ringo he was in hospital after hospital all throughout childhood. Some days your Mother would bring you in to make friends with the childeren who have to rest in bed all day. That’s when you met Ringo and instantly begun playing cars with him. Your parents also helps out his Mum. A lot. She was a waitress and barely making the cut for her and Richard to get by ever since his Dad left. But that’s a huge secret. The gang doesn’t know anything about his past. He’s a bit embarrassed. But he can’t hide anything from you.

He can’t go to school anymore - he’s been too sick to have a full attendance. He works at a factory now, making quite a bit of money. He’s honestly quite well off now. His step-dad is also quite rich. Which means the Starkey family has done a whole flip. That’s apart of the reason as to why he’s in the gang, he can fit in with being rich. But they don’t know his background.

Richard still comes over for dinner sometimes. It’s never announced to you. You attend the local Grammar school so sometimes you come home to see him just fixing something for you parents in the garage or talking to your Dad in the living room. He’s simply just a friend. Although you two have drifted apart now that he’s in a gang. He knows you’re a bit disappointed, you think he’s up to really bad stuff. But it’s never him doing anything bad to anyone. He sort of just watches. He knows it embarrasses you.
