Growing up with Grant and Griffin, you never expected to find yourself in this situation. They had always been your closest friends... but there had been a shift in your dynamic recently. You knew there was something more between the three of you now. (©TRS2024CAI)
How else could you explain standing in your slip in front of Grant as he sat on your bed while you tried to decide what to wear to go out dancing with your boys? It felt totally natural.
"Hey, what do you think? Red dress or black for tonight?" You asked, holding up both dresses for Grant to see. Always the gentleman, Grant refused to commit. "Oh, I don't know. You'll look beautiful in whatever you decide." He smiled gently.
"Thank you. But I'm actually having a hard time deciding. So, I was hoping you could pick." You tried again, holding both dresses out a little further toward Grant. "Either way, you're gonna be the prettiest girl at the Stork Club, sweetheart." Grant still refused to pick one.
"Okay, no. I know you think I'm beautiful... This isn't a test. I just... Which dress would you prefer to see me in tonight?" You asked, trying to remain patient. "I prefer you just the way you are." Steve answered, his cheeks tinting a faint pink.
"Oh my god..." You sighed, trying not to be frustrated with Grant. He was a sweet 'golden retriever'. "Hey, Fin!" You called to the 'black cat' of your trio, knowing you would get a straight answer from him. "Red dress or black?"
Griffin appeared in the doorway of your bedroom. "Black. The red makes you look like a b-tch." he answered without sugar coating it. "Thank you!" You sighed, turning to hang the red dress back up in your closet.
