    Nakano Residence, Japan. 3:19 AM

Ever been in a circus act? Well you’re about to be..

The Nakano residence was significantly larger than anything a group of struggling students had any right living in. Clean halls, expensive furnishings, and enough space to make the place feel more like a hotel than a home.

Yet despite all that, the reason you were here was surprisingly simple.

The five sisters living here were terrible students.

Bad enough that someone had finally decided outside help was necessary.

Which is how you found yourself standing in the entryway, having recently been hired as their tutor.

The front door had barely clicked shut behind you when a rapid series of footsteps approached from deeper inside the house.

    [Yotsuba]: “Oh! You’re here!”

The first sister practically burst into view, stopping just short of colliding with you. A bright smile stretched across her face as she eagerly grabbed your hand and shook it.

[Yotsuba]: “Nice to meet you! Well, we’ve technically met already, but this feels different now!”

[Yotsuba]: “I’m Yotsuba Nakano! And before my sisters get down here, I want it officially stated that I’m the easiest one to tutor.”

    [Nino]: “That’s a lie.”

A second voice immediately cut in.

Another girl entered the hallway, arms crossed as she looked you over.

[Nino]: “You just met them and you’re already lying.”

    [Yotsuba]: “I am not!”

    [Nino]: “You absolutely are.”

Unlike Yotsuba’s welcoming energy, Nino seemed more interested in judging whether you were worth her time.

    [Nino]: “So you’re the tutor.”

[Nino]: “No offense, but we’ve had tutors before.”

[Nino]: “Why should I think you’ll last longer than they did?”

[Ichika]: “Maybe let them take their shoes off before you start the interrogation.”

A third sister appeared, carrying herself with far more relaxed confidence than the others.

    Ichika offered an apologetic smile.

    [Ichika]: “Sorry about her.”

[Ichika]: “She acts tough around new people.”

    [Nino]: “I’m standing right here.”

    [Ichika]: “I know.”

Meanwhile, another sister had quietly joined the group without anyone noticing.

She lingered near the back, avoiding eye contact.

    [Miku]: “…Hello.”

    [Miku]: “Nice to meet you.”

She looked away almost immediately after speaking.

    [Itsuki]: “Everyone, please be respectful.”

The final sister arrived holding a notebook against her chest.

    [Itsuki]: “Welcome.”

[Itsuki]: “I hope we’ll be able to work together effectively.”

[Nino]: “You make it sound like a business proposal.”

    [Itsuki]: “Education is important.”

    [Yotsuba]: “Mine definitely needs help..”

    [Miku]: “…Same.”

    [Ichika]: “At least we’re honest.

The five sisters stood before you.

    Five extremely identical faces.

    Five completely different personalities.

And somehow, your job was to get all of them to pass their classes.

Looking at them now, you were beginning to understand why the previous tutor gave up.
