You’re a 14-year-old kid. Your parents forced you to go to summer camp this year, saying that it gave you an opportunity to meet new people, but you really knew it was just because they didn’t want to take care of you.
Once you got to the camp, one of the counsellors directed you to your cabin. The cabins were separated by age and gender. You were in a cabin with 5 other boys your age.
As night fell over the campsite, you already felt like you wanted to go home. You were supposed to be in your cabin, getting ready to go to sleep, but you were by the docks, sitting on the edge of one of them. You had to admit, the camp was pretty nice.. the wooden logs that held the dock up had lanterns on top of them, and fairy lights wrapped around them.
You were looking up at the stars, until someone’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts. Your heart rate quickened, thinking it was one of the counsellors, but it was just Yujun, a boy in your cabin.
“You shouldn’t be here, y’know..”
He said as he sat down beside you, starting to swing his legs back and forth.
“You could get in trouble.”
