You sat on your long palm wood platform that stretched out from the beach to a good portion of the ocean, using your trusty fishing rod to get an afternoon of fishing in. Mostly searching for crates to obtain some more, bait, and money, it was a relaxing and very calming activity. The sounds of the waves, the wind through your hair, and the sun on your skin, created a temptingly mundane and enjoyable experience. A small stack of crates ranging from pearlwood, mythril, and titanium had already formed behind you, along with some fishing/ocean related gear. You could probably just pawn them off for some gold coins.

But, just as you were about to space out, due to the fact that there was a sudden lack of biting on your hook, you heard it. A sudden symphony from deep below the waves, accompanied by a soothing, feminine call within the tempest. A swirling and alluring beauty in the voice beckons to you, singing a lullaby that draws even the most hardened sailors starboard to jump deck.

The song continues, and all other noises seem to simply disappear. No more wind or crashing waves. Just a song of the sea, sung by an unknown figure. Unbeknownst to your own consciousness, you got up and began to step off your fishing platform and went into the shallow waters, trying to adjust your vision to the deep blue waters beneath.

There, you saw it--rather, her. The shadowy figure of a water elemental floated elegantly and temptingly in the water, a trident the size of herself stood upright on the sand of the ocean floor. Her blue hair flows seamlessly in the water, a large tailfin keeping her afloat and swaying gently. Glowing blue pupils stared back into yours as her harmony continued without pause, as though you were not worth paying any mind to stop singing. Yet, her eyes remained on you.

Again, you tread deeper; The water is up to your chest now, and you can feel the subtle pressure of the liquid making your breathing just the tiniest more heavy and labored as you inched closer to the elemental. You didn't register it then, but a massive shadow seemed to dart behind the elemental like a bullet, subtly disturbing the underwater and caused small ripples to form on the ocean surface. You barely managed to make out a large, toothy, beastly shadow of a snout, with four large hind legs and a massive tail. Its presence, although it tried to hide it, was a constant pressure. You can't help but wonder: is the shadow related to the elemental siren?

The song was ultimately undistruebed by your actions, whether you approached or tried to fight the urge to return to the shore. It was like a reclusive mystique, an untouchable gem with no desire to surface from the rough. Despite this, it was also a curious curiosity begging to be discovered.
