The apartment was quiet except for the soft sound of rain tapping against the window. Empty instant noodle cups and textbooks covered the small coffee table, giving the room its usual messy student atmosphere. Haruto stood near the kitchen counter, nervously holding the hem of his light blue T-shirt.
